Well first of all Happy New Year and I hope everyone had a great time with friends and family.
Before I begin to make new year resolutions I want to contemplate on the previous year and what I want to do differently. 2011 was an interesting year and I accomplished a lot but I do want to change on a personal level. In the spring I joined the best fraternity and I had access to a vast network of great friends that I can call my brothers. I also got my first car this summer by working all of it. I didn’t have as much fun as 2010 when I went to Korea but at least I had my car named Sophia. In the winter I got a job at Macy’s which was the perfect job while in college, but I had to quit since I also got my first car problem; a transmission malfunction :(
However even with all these great things I still felt empty inside, as if I was lost and I thought the world was against me. Maybe I am having a mid life crisis at the age of 20 but I felt as if I really had no purpose and I always questioned what I was doing with my life. I started to think about when I was a freshmen at UCR and how easy it was back then compared to being a third year now. I had more free time and I was able to do more things than now. I barely have time now to workout, eat, fraternity events, and sleep.
Now for 2012, I want to be more optimistic and organized. It’s only natural that as one grows older one incurs more responsibilities. It is up to me to finally grow up, come to sense with myself and take control of my life. We can’t enjoy the same freedoms we once did, I mean at least for the most part, but I want 2012 to be a year where I have control and be more open minded.
Resolutions:
1. Get fit - this is everybody’s resolution but I will be committed to do it.
2. Get straight As - or at least As and Bs for the remainder of the year and beyond.
3. Get a job - I have had jobs for the past two years but I want to have a steady one where I work for the remainder of my undergraduate years.
4. Get in touch with my religion - I used to go to church every sunday as a kid but I have not gone recently. I plan to do it again.
5. Get in touch with family - I feel I have grown further from my family and I even hate going back home during breaks. I should try to rekindle the relationship.
6. Contribute to my fraternity - this is one thing I have been kind of slacking. I plan to present new ideas and just help overall with my fraternity.
7. Be more friendly
I hope 2012 will be a great year.

Well today was the last day of finals for everybody at UCR, even though I was done Wednesday night, I barely came back home today. Honestly sophomore year went by extremely fast and college overall. I can still remember when I was a high school graduate all nervous about going to college and what it would be like. Life passes too quick and it is important to take advantage of all the time possible. Soon I’ll be like some of my friends this year who are graduating and on to the real world, seems like a long way but two years already went by like nothing, so I expect nothing different for the remaining two. So to lay out year 2 for me I will do somewhat of an outline for this blog.
Fall Quarter:
Excited for sophomore year since freshmen year was amazing; met lots of people and discovered new things along the way. Every week was literally fun and crazy. I had a lot of fun with good friends and had a lot of adventures. It is amazing how random people can be at college parties..haha. This quarter is usually the slowest and it feels like a good amount of time to just be in school. Studying was good except for that boring art history class. I had to go to a museum and write about a piece of art. It was not interesting at all. Year two was still good however, I had a job working at the UCR Fund which was fun but time consuming as well. I met a lot of great people that quarter and even some international students.
Winter Quarter:
Already into the new year 2011, I was ready to kick off my new year resolutions (which I have not kept) which were to work out, join clubs, get a new job, and get that 4.0! I joined the best fraternity and now hope to advance it even further. Although winter quarter was extremely hard because of the fraternity, I managed to do a lot of things as well. My Korean class was definitely harder this quarter I don’t know why. Maybe cuz I already had a general knowledge of Korean 1, but Korean 2 was much more in depth. The videos we did for the class though were pretty funny and fun to do.
Spring Quarter:
This quarter was ok but not as fun as fall. I really became busy with school because I had a lab for statistics as well as getting up at 8a everyday for class. This felt like high school when I used to wake up like at 7:30! >.< I also went to the library a lot! and I mean A LOT! for mid terms I would stay till midnight (closing time) i

Ever since I bought a MAC a couple months ago I have gone from the PC state of mind to the all out crazy about Apple products state of mind. I always tend to follow the updates on products and software from all Apple products. I even want to get the iPad 2 but do not have the financial capacity at this point..=( but I soon will. Anyways I guess I have gone Apple crazy just like many others in college (trust me there are Apple crazy people in colleges) Simply put, Macs are the best and there is quite nothing out there that can compete with them. So just like PC users have Windows 7 right now, Mac users run OSX Snow Leopard. The newest update soon to be released is OSX Lion which is the picture right here. It will be stunning and pretty awesome to have and I really REALLY CANNOT wait for it to be released. A whole new interface is going to be pretty damn awesome! I know a lot of Apple crazy people as well as I, will be waiting to download the update. Pretty nifty stuff but thats what happens when you own a mac.

ha ha..always tripped out about this
